How is your putting stroke?
October 29, 2009 by Parshooters · Leave a Comment
Many golfers don’t realize that almost 50% of your golf scores occurs from your putting. Almost 70% if you include pitching and chipping around the greens. Yet this is the least practiced!
Everyone is focused on having the latest in driver technology. They feel if they can pound their drives around 240 yards or more that everything else will fall into place in shooting par golf. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Your best golfers have that magic around the greens, its what separates themselves from the high handicappers.
Let me ask you, “how is your putting?” If your leaving a lot of putts around the hole but, their not falling in. It means that there is one additional stroke you have to add onto your score. Over 18 holes it can mean the difference between breaking your low score or having a frustrating round.
There is no right or wrong way to putt, and there is not one standard grip but many to choose from. It all depends upon your comfort zone and being able to see the lines of the putt on the green. Putting is all mental and strategizing over breaks and inclines and slopes of how best to lag your putts close to the hole is half the battle.

What will you be doing? In the upcoming months it will be winter time in N.Y. state region, and many snow birds will be traveling down south to get out of the cold miserable snow. The weather is suppose to change by this weekend in time for Halloween. It’s never to early to start making plans for your golf vacation trips. That is why you need to be prepared for anything unusual that might happen.
The way the economy is today, you can find many favorable golf packages. Resort areas are hungry for visitors and they’re willing to make deals that combines staying arrangements with tee time packages. Many golf courses are reporting open tee times on their daily starting sheets.
Personally I’ve been to Myrtle Beach once and want to get back there. It’s the golfing mecca for any challenges to your game that you want to test. Warning! Bring plenty of golf balls with you because there is nothing but water and sand.
What can I use to Improve my Golf Swing Efficiently and Effectively?
October 23, 2009 by Parshooters · Leave a Comment
Everyone has heard the saying that practice makes perfect but, that isn’t true unless your practicing the right swing mechanics. If your not mentally changing your bad swing flaws then you will never improve your golf swing when your on the golf course. You must start with the basics and that is your posture, stance, grip, and be focused on training yourself to the right swing mechanics. That is why a training aid like Medicus will help you to groove too a better swing.
How can a swing training aid help improve my swing? It’s a good question and the answer is in three parts broken down into any good swing mechanics.
- They train you mentally how to swing at a good tempo or timing pace
- They train you both mentally and physically on how to groove a solid repeatable swing consistently (It will become automatic)
- It trains you mentally to have a strong grip. ( The grip on the training aid is manufactured to what a correct grip should be.
By combining these three parts of the swing and coordinating them together ensures that you are training towards a much improved golf swing from what you had. Will it correct everything- No! Golf is both 80% mental and 20% physical and each individual golfer has their bad flaws. That is why the company Medicus has a training aid for every part of your game.
With me it took a lot of time in practicing 4-5 hours a day on the practice range, and another 4-5 hours playing 18 holes just about everyday in order to groove my swing and be able to play on the college golf team. I had a golf coach who mentored us on our bad swing flaws but, in the long run it paid off because for my last two years we were N.Y.S. champions and went to the Nationals. For a small community college that wasn’t to bad. It also rewarded me a partial scholarship to a 4 year school.
What the swing trainer aids does it identifies bad flaws almost immediately in any part of your golf swing. The training aid is dual hinged and will break if your swing is off tempo or your swing isn’t going through the correct golf swing plane. In any part of your swing starting with the takeaway, mid point of your back swing , club at the top position before you break the swing coming down, downswing, and your follow through finishing the swing facing your target. Any flaw in any part of your swing it immediately opens up and the training club breaks down at the hinges. Therefore any flaws can be corrected when the training aid has shown you where your swing has broken down. You then can focus and improve your golf swing by working on that part of your golf swing weakness.
Learning to swing a golf training aid without breaking it is the key to improving your golf swing. These golf aids ensures that you won’t be wasting your time on the practice range hitting balls after balls and not benefiting from it. It in turns frustrates and burns deep inside of you the failures that you will see resulting on the golf course. By hitting bad shots after bad shots and never improving your golf scores. Essentially what you are doing is permanently grooving a bad swing that will take a lot of time and money to fix.
That is why if your really sincere about your golf game and want to see improvements and lowering of your golf scores. Then you need to make a commitment to yourself today that I will do everything it takes mentally and physically to improve one’s self by looking into the benefits of having this golf training aid.

Fairhaven, MA (October 5, 2009) – It was an all-Pro V1 finish at the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship, where Titleist Brand Ambassador Jay Haas stormed from behind to win the year’s final major.
Trusting a full bag of Titlist equipment from Tee-To-Green, Haas fired a tournament record-tying final round six-under par 64 en route to a 13-under 267 total, one shot better than overnight leader Tom Watson.
Haas and Watson were deadlocked at 12-under with one hole to play, but Haas sealed the victory by converting a three-foot birdie putt on the final hole. Haas’ closing 64 was three shots better than any other score on the day.
Mark Wiebe and Loren Roberts shared third place at seven-under 273, while fellow Pro V1 loyalist Bernhard Langer rounded out the all-Titleist Top 5, a further shot back. The win was the 14th of Haas’ illustrious Champions Tour career, including his third major championship.

With this being my first written post I would like to tell you a little story about myself.
I started playing with my father in 1968. There was a golf course owned by my father’s family in Northern New York along Lake Champlain. I would spend all summer playing for close to nothing at all.
In 1973, at the age of 17, I had the opportunity to caddy in the W omen’s United States Open for an amateur by the name of Janice Palmer. I loved it and started caddying every year, not only locally but when the LPGA came to Rochester, New York every year.
