Fear in making mistakes in life is a big part of being human . This I profess, that I’m not an expert on and therefore can’t give advice. You can do a google search and find millions of pages on this information. What I can give to you is my experience with regards to fear when playing the game of golf.  Golf and reality have a way of blending into one another. I’ve seen all kinds of different attitudes from the most generous and forgiving to those you wouldn’t want to get near with a 10ft pole. Who are arrogant, frustrated,  mean spirited, nasty and their outright ugly on the outside. I have a saying,”the better golfer you become the more of an asswhole you become!” Although I do know many golfers amateur and professional who are the kindest people and I’m proud to be their friend.

Playing in a mens club for almost 30 years, you do form a bond with the golfers your playing with. It’ like any other social function where you do get to know them and their families. Where you attend events and golfing get away trips. Playing collegiate golf I’ve had the opportunity to play on some of the finest golf courses in the Northeast.

Only one thing that hasn’t changed in the hundreds of years since the sport began, and which can momentarily turn grown men and women into frothing, enraged lunatics who have seemingly lost all sense of decorum and reasonable behavior. That is the simple mistake of not knowing how to have a proper way to swing a golf club. The golf club failing to connect and striking a small white ball properly. Sending it not on a straight true path but on a wildly curving arc into the woods, or even worse out of bounds. It has turned more than one Dr. Jekyll into a seething Mr. or Mrs. Hyde, hurling golf clubs into the air, breaking them like matchsticks over their knees, bellowing obscenities into the air instead of yelling fore.

As golf gets more expensive as a hobby or sport that we love to play. Trying to work on your improve golf swing also gets harder to justify not only because of cost but, also the amount of time it takes to put the dedication in to practicing. That is why having your own golf driving net to practice does make economical sense to set up one at your own home.

I sometimes tend to find it easier to just forget or ignore the pressure of having to jump into my car and drive twenty minutes to get to the driving range that I’m a member of. That I’m tempted to just say, “I’ll go tomorrow,” and you guessed it! The time I missed in practicing doesn’t ever get made up. Prices every year goes up for bucket of balls, because of the maintenance to take care of the driving range. My membership alone is about average with other driving ranges which can average over $200/year. That is why it makes sense to have your own golfing net.

You can practice anytime at your own discretion and the cost is minimal. It’s whatever materials and supplies you needed to invest initially to build one.  This can become a center piece for you and your family to enjoy and learn. It will make you look like a teaching pro when you give tips on how to improve golf swing.

Is it really that hard of a decision to make when first starting to play the game of golf? Is it really that hard to understand for a beginner to not be out there on a regulation golf course? That probally the foursome’s behind you are perturbed and angry? That your probally ruining their day with all of your hacking going on and slowing play down to a crippling crescendo!

Did you ever realize to yourself that you don’t belong out there? That you should take your golf swing to the driving range until you learn at least how to hit a little white golf ball.  If you do want to play then your skills should be on a short executive course where it’s much easier for beginners and women to play.  Where you won’t get so angry, frustrated and want to quit the game before even learning how to play.

Slow play is the number one problem! That most public,  not so much semi or private golf courses will face in trying to keep the traffic coming back to play again.  The public golf course that I play on,  the average round is about 5 1/2 hours long.  This practically kills the rest of your day from doing anything else.

Can Wii HelpYou To Improve Your Golf Swing, Or Is It Fun Family Entertainment?

January 19, 2010 by Parshooters · 2 Comments

Beginning in the spring, the Wii will become the last of the three current video game consoles, that incorporates instant viewing of Netflix movies and television shows over the internet. Wii owners who have a broadband connection and a Netflix subscription will be able to watch those programs at no extra charge.

The Wii and Netflix will become great partners in giving entertainment value to the living rooms of millions of new potential subscribers. It’s by far the most popular gaming console in the U.S. and Canada. Netflix has been determined for a very long time to offer movie streaming on as many devices as possible. Letting subscribers watch movies over the internet has been an increasingly important service for Netflix.

For the few people who are unfamiliar with Wii, the console offers players a chance to play simulations of golf, bowling, boxing, tennis and baseball. Wii comes complete with two wireless controllers that have built-in motion sensors. Another sensor is positioned on top of the television and Wii players perform the same motions that they want their virtual player onscreen to execute.

Does Wii have the potential to sharpen sports skills? Playing the video games in order to sharpen real life sports skills isn’t a completely ridiculous idea. Obviously if you’ve never swung a golf club before,  maybe it’ll help you to learn how to golf swing mechanically by going through the correct virtual motions of actually playing.
