Don't Be Tempted By All Of The Different Candies. Take Your Time Choosing The Correct Golf Clubs!

Any new golfer is like a kid in the candy store. Their very anxious to possess their own collection of golf clubs and accessories. However, it is very important to understand the basics of your golf swing mechanics, before  buying the golf clubs that are best suited for your golf swing. Usually a set of 14 golf clubs is permitted for each golfer under U.S.G.A. rules. This set comprises of a variety of irons, woods, wedges, hybrids and a putter. You can create your own set by adding and dropping clubs that best fits you. Hybrids are a good choice for beginners as they are a mixture of irons and woods, and hence easier and lighter to hit.

With today’s economic conditions and not knowing if you’ll even have a job the next day. Most people will buy off the rack standard clubs. It won’t improve their golf game one iota and they don’t care. They believe what’s the difference! Their not there to improve upon their golf swing mechanics. Your there instead to have fun being with others you care about playing with, and enjoying the great outdoors.

For a beginner having a full set that isn’t necessary. Most of the golfers playing with used or racked clubs are just beginning to play and don’t need expensive golf clubs. Depending upon your budget, you can choose either, pre-owned clubs or new. Buying cheap or discounted golf clubs can be a very good choice for starters. Next get yourself a dozen golf balls. They don’t have to be expensive brands like Callaway, Nike, Taylormade or Titleist. Using golf brands like Bridgestone, Slazenger, Srixion and TopFlite will cost 1/4 the price then the leading brands. Golf bags don’t have to be expensive either. You can find them at garage sales or flee markets. If you buy them in a store, you don’t need oversized compartment bags that have 10 different storage areas.

Golf Simulators Can Be Used For Improving Your Golf Swing Mechanics Anytime Of The Year!

Now that winter weather is beginning to settle into the Northeast region. The way you continue to play golf also must change from playing outside, to  bringing your golf swing indoors. There is many ways you can still keep practicing and playing a round of golf.  There’s commercial indoor hitting ranges, to setting up a hitting net in your own basement or heated garage,  if you have enough swing space.

The newest technology in the marketplace today are golf simulators and swing analyzers. They are being manufactured for both retail establishments and for home use. Whether you are a beginner or professional, making the investment in an advanced indoor golf simulator, will do more for your golf game than any of the latest space-age technology golf clubs that you can buy.   It’s a must for any serious golfer!

Golf simulation is a technological system that enables you to play golf in a restricted area. It’s usually meant for an indoor setting. One of the major advantages of this type of indoor golf,  is that it enables you to practice the game when you can’t get to the golf course.  It’s best suited for those who have space constraints.  All you need is a high ceiling, say around 8 to 10 feet, and a wall for mounting the game’s screen.

Winter Is The Best Time To Practice With Your Golf Training Aid!

Winter Is The Best Time To Practice With Your Golf Training Aid!

This is a tough time of year to play golf in the Northeast.  Your not totally sure what the weather is going to do from one day to the next. Temperatures are fluctuating from the low 60′s to the 40′s,  it’s sunny to rainy in a matter of a few hours. Weather reports can’t keep up, as it’s hit and miss with their Doppler system.

Playing in bad weather is a challenge, but when you prepare yourself properly your round of golf doesn’t have to be a nightmare.  All golfers will find it difficult to play effectively in inclement weather.  Rain, wind and cold will affect your golfing mindset. The way you dress, your golf swing,  the flight of the golf ball, no rolls in the water soaked fairways, and the diminishing speed and breaks of the greens. No amount of practice or instruction can fully prepare you for bad weather playing.

Being prepared for bad weather will make it bearable for you to play when the weather does turn nasty.  If you expect that your round of golf may encounter rain,  then make sure you have extra towels, golf gloves, hand warmers,  rain hood for your golf  clubs, and rain suit for yourself in your golf bag. Get comfortable with how your rain suit will affect the way you strike your golf ball. Rain suits today are more flexible, but are still restrictive and will change your golf swing.

How Can You Develop More Power By Changing Your Golf Swing Mechanics?

September 13, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Increase Power Drives By Improving Your Golf Swing Mechanics!

How can you develop more power into your golf swing? This is probally the single most asked questioned. Golf swing power is the result of three specific factors.  Most of us will go to great lengths to do whatever it takes to get that power into our drives off the tee.  On any given hole a good drive splitting the fairway with extra distance,  can certainly improve your golf scores by shortening up the yardage for your next shot into the greens.

The most important factor is your understanding about your own golf swing mechanics.  The simplest way of understanding the physics of swinging a golf club is to understand the movement of a pendulum.  The basic physics on how to power the golf swing starts with the clubshaft movement from the top position into the downwards  swing towards the golf ball through the impact area.  There are two basic golf swing styles that need to be consistent and under control.  They are the conservative single plane and  all out aggressive power hitting swing.  A golfer needs to choose which one best suits his style of game.  A golfer needs to learn how to use the appropriate powering mechanics for his selected swing style,  and he should never mix-and-match fundamental swing concepts that are incompatible with each other.

It is essential for a golfer to work on the mechanics of their golf swing.  In order to improve your golf swing never take practicing as something you have to do.  Make it a desire that you want to become a better golfer, and this is the only way you can improve.  If it weren’t important why would all these tour players have swing coaches that work with them on a consistent basis out on the practice range? The golf swing is such a finite,  mechanically complexive movement, that requires constant work to keep it highly efficient and in balance.

Women Golfers Are Very Good In Following Golf Etiquette On The Golf Course!

Most experienced golfers can handle playing with someone who is just learning to play.  Who has lower than average skills provided the new golfer possess adequate golf course etiquette and plays at a reasonable pace.  Bad etiquette, however, is virtually guaranteed to prevent a future invitation to be part of the same group.  Here are a few basic rules of golf course etiquette that will be useful for anyone just starting out and a good reminder for the more experienced golfers.

Even before going to the golf course, there are a few things you need to  do:

Try  going to a driving range before playing a round. Unless you are incredibly athletic and can pick up a golf club and start hitting 200 yard drives, you might want to go to a driving range to practice your golf swing mechanics.  Take along a friend who knows how to golf,  and can show you the basics of the stance, grip and swing.  Review each golf club and know your own yardages for each club.

The Proper Way To Swing A Golf Club Is By Using Fujikura Golf Shafts!

You Will Find The Proper Way To Swing A Golf Club Everyyear At The ReMax Long Drivers Championships!

Have you ever noticed that the harder you swing the golf club the less farther it will go?  How many times have you played golf with someone who thinks he can rip the cover off the golf ball like he was trying to make it explode on impact? The main reason why most golfers will try to overswing is because of lack of confidence in their golf clubs.  The proper way to swing a golf club isn’t  trying to swing at it as hard as you can. When you do this your golf ball is only going to go all over the golf course, because  of lack of control.  If your goal is to simply relieve a lot of tension, then that method will work for you, but if you’re serious about playing better golf you’ll want to try a different approach.

The proper way to swing a golf club is with less aggression towards the golf ball. By swinging smoother it not only will have you hitting the ball more consistently, but also a lot farther. Playing better golf requires better accuracy, control and consistency. Relax and don’t try to overswing by tensing up and trying to muscle the golf ball out there 300 yards. Focus on a smoother easier golf swing, and concentrate on making solid contact every time with the golf ball. Your goal is accuracy and not power right now. When you swing slower you have more control, which leads to better accuracy.

Why you should invest into Krank Golf Drivers? It is very important to understand that we spend every waking business hour trying to improve accuracy and distance with our custom golf drivers and custom Long Drive Drivers. This commitment to excellence in quality,  is what makes it possible for us to compete at the highest level of the Long Drive industry.

Are You Aware Of Your Golf Swing Mechanics When Chipping Or Putting?

May 22, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Pracice Your Chipping To Improve Your Golf Scores!

The hardest part about golf swing mechanics is learning to finesse the golf ball around the greens. This is the least amount of time spent in practicing the chipping, pitching, putting and sand play before playing a round of golf. For most amateurs we don’t allow for enough time to practice before hitting the golf links. As soon as we get to the golf course we jump out of our cars, and go directly into the pro shop to take care of business first. Then we go get our golf clubs and shoes, and maybe get a few quick practice putts in, along with swinging the driver, an expect to be all warmed up.

What happens next, most of the time it becomes a rocky picture horror show. With our expectations now reduced down to trying how to figure out what to do next in order to survive.  For the majority of amateurs or weekend golfers this happens a lot for the first few holes before we’re adequately warmed up. The only way to combat high scores is being able to have an adequate short game to make up for the mistakes being made from tee to green. Most of the amateurs I play with hit the ball well enough from tee to green, but when they get within 50 yards of the green they seem to struggle. They’ll tell me, “I don’t have time to practice these shots, I’m not a pro, and they do have all the time in the world to stand and work on these shots, so they do develop the consistency in their feel.”

The goal when chipping or pitching in golf is to get the ball to travel the least amount of distance in the air and have it roll along the green. The problem with most golfers they’ll anticipate their chip shots, and will have the habit of looking up too soon to see where the ball is going.  One major problem with this is that golfers will forget about their golf swing mechanics. What typically ends up happening as a result is that by looking up, the leading hand wrist bends, causing the golfers hands to flick through the chip shot. The end result is that the club head is picked up too steeply, and a blade type shot occurs which sends the ball on more of a line drive trajectory. The reason is that the wrists bend or break before contact is made with the golf ball or ground in an attempt to delicately place the ball onto the green. The solution is to make sure your wrists don’t break, especially the leading wrist, and that your follow through continues just like  a normal golf shot.

Is Timing A Crucial Component Of Your Golf Swing Mechanics?

April 19, 2010 by · 4 Comments

Cover of "Natural Golf Swing"

What is the %%%proper way to swing a golf club%%%? It all starts with having the correct golf swing fundamentals in place, and if your not sure then continue learning and practicing on your own golf swing until you feel comfortable enough to move onto more advanced techniques. The golf swing is a combination of balance, strength and fluidity, and they must be in that combined mix for your golf swing mechanics to produce the kinds of golf shots that are on target.

One of the most frequent errors to a golf swing is the consistent over-swinging of the golf clubs.  Relax as much as you can during your golf swing.  You do have some power, however accuracy is the name of  any golf game.  Set your goals to expend very little effort when swinging the golf club.  Hitting the golf ball the right way will feel easy and smooth.

Swinging hard will only reduce your power. Distance can only come from being fluid and accurate, and not from the amount of extra strength that you can put into it.  Keep the idea of strength out of your head. You want to just use the amount of power that you will be able to control and manage.  The purpose of the golf game is accuracy, not power. You want to have the ability to manage each part of your golf swing so that you just hit the ball cleanly and it goes wherever you need it to travel to your intended target.

The Only Way To Perfect Your Golf Swing Mechanics Is By Investing Into Your Own Time and Energy At A Driving Range!

March 23, 2010 by · 11 Comments

RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO - FEBRUARY 18: Chris Smi...

When your working on your golf game at the driving range, you first start with doing some stretching exercises.  Then begin slowly by hitting a short iron that doesn’t  take a lot of energy to swing a golf club.  Continue taking your time hitting golf balls, and make sure to breath in the fresh air by relaxing. You don’t have to keep pounding golf balls to the point your exhausted, and your hurting from swelling in your fingers, hands, legs or lower back joint muscles.

It’s good to work on your golf swing but, it doesn’t have to be a workout like you would get at the local gym. If you would only take your time,  you can learn a lot by just watching other golfers swinging and mishitting their golf balls all over the driving range area.  I will watch for the different methods golfers will use when they swing their golf clubs, and some of the golf swings are fairly good but, others need a whole lot of work. I usually think to myself that if only they could change the way they practiced they would become so much better golfers.

What do you need to do in order to practice the correct golf swing mechanics? If you’re going to work on your golf swing then every golf club in your bag needs to be used practicing. That is the number one problem,  that I see with the vast majority of all golfers on the driving range hitting golf balls today.   Their only focus is about using their drivers,  and trying to hit the golf ball out of the driving range.  Their there to hit the snot out of the golf ball, so that they can brag how far they hit it to their golfing buddies.  If this is what your doing,  then I have some bad news for you. You’ll never improve your golf swing mechanics.

How Does Using The Right Golf Balls Affect Your Golf Swing Mechanics?

Spalding Is Dveloping More Dimples For Better Air Flight!

Manufacturers have experimented with club design for many years, enlarging the sweet spot and introducing perimeter weighting designed to lessen the twisting at impact and give the golfer more opportunity to hit from the center sweet spot.

For the most part these innovations have been reached through trial and error, using computer aided design systems. A dimensional diagram of different golf club design models does describe exactly how the club head rotates through impact and where the center of gravity is as the ball and club head meet at that moment of impact.

Another computer model is that of the golf balls trajectory. Taking into consideration a variety of launch angle conditions, some of which may seem like petty issues but which are of major concern to the devoted golfer. For instance, grass was traditionally thought to interfere with a golf balls launch and slow its release from the club head. What actually was found that when the grass comes between the golf ball and the club face, it is actually slippery enough to assist in the golf balls launch.

Physical Exercises To Strengthen Your Muscles!

Preventing injuries on the golf course could be as easy as taking a vigorous walk around the country club parking lot. For the golfer who goes onto the golf course cold, the risk of injury to joints and muscles is far greater than if he took the time to warm up. The proper way to swing a  golf club involves so much more movement than your arms. It will tax your back, your legs, your shoulders, your hips and your knees. Doing it wrong and doing it without a proper warm-up and you’re more likely to get into trouble. Too many golfers treat warm-ups as being optional.

Proper mechanics off the golf  course, such as correctly lifting golf bags and equipment, and on going regiment of exercising is just as important. That is why warming up before practicing or playing is crucial in preventing any kind of injury before it happens. Only after warming up it’s important to start out slowly. If your golf club has a driving range or you can get to one before playing.  I feel it’s very important to start with the clubs that produce the least amount of physical resistance.  Begin hitting a few wedge and short iron golf swings. You then build up your resistance to mid-irons and fairway woods. Finally finishing it off with your driver. Then you want to start cooling down in reverse order until your doing a few pitches and chip shots at the end of your work out.

Normally when I’m working out I will go through two large bucket of balls. If I feel really energetic I’ll do a third bucket. Just like working out at a gym instead I prefer to do my exercising on the driving range. Usually three times a week and play with the club on the weekends. Again, repetition and using the correct golf swing mechanics is the key to preventing injury.Your training your brain the correct natural feel and your using the proper golf swing mechanics. That it becomes a part of you and it feels very fluid and natural in motion.  Practice makes permanent, and that is why you want the proper teaching aids to correct your bad golf swing flaws so it doesn’t result in you getting injured. That is why I highly recommend using Medicus, the #1 training aid!

How Much Of A Factor Can Inclement Weather Have On Your Golf Swing?

Storm Clouds Take Warnings Seriously!

As I watch from my window to the outside world, I’m only dreaming of the warm spring days that won’t becoming to New York for at least another three months. You see we were just hit overnight with 4″ of snow on top of the snow we received from the last snow storm.  Where I live today it’s a balmy 17 degrees outside.  Ouch!

That is why I’m thinking about bad weather conditions in golf. I’m sort of correlating between the two weather conditions of today and what it’s like when you have to play in all kinds of bad weather. Playing in bad weather is a challenge but, when you prepare yourself properly your round of golf doesn’t have to collapse.

All golfers find it difficult to play effectively in inclement weather. Rain, wind and cold will affect your golfing mindset. The way you dress, your golf swing, the flight of the golf ball and the speed and breaks of the greens. No amount of practice or instruction can fully prepare you for bad weather playing.  Being prepared for bad weather will make it bearable for you to play when the weather does turn nasty.

Baby It’s Cold Outside Playing Winter Golf?

Enjoy Your Christmas With Brand New Golf Clubs!

It’s that time of year in the Northeast part of the country where only the true die hard golfers are still playing. Most golfers have put their golf clubs away and are getting ready to nestle into their warm homes for the winter. Only to dream about what next year’s golfing is going to be like. For many who are retired they are now flocking down into the warm sections of our country, where they are able to keep playing golf.

While a number of players put away the sticks after Thanksgiving, there are still golf courses that remain open year round. Their virtually crying out for your winter golf business. There are golf courses that are frequently free of snow much of the off season. Some of these courses might have temporary greens, and many others allow play on the regular greens and tees.

There is no reason to be blue with cabin fever come January. There is a fraternity of golfers who still get together even with snow on the ground with a stick as a flag stick that allows for the game of golf to continue. Golf can be played despite a layer of crusted snow over much of the area. The ground maybe hard and the golf ball is frozen dead. Which doesn’t allow it to fly very far.  However, you can still use your golf swing mechanics on a very limited basis for just getting a few golf swings in.
